Coastal Rowing in Monaco. Two days ago the CPA2 organizing committee confirmed the registrants in press release. This year’s Challenge Prince Albert 2 will take place in Monaco with high profil participants. These include Lars Wichert, Michi Schmid, Andre Miramon, Diana Dymchenko and many more.

British Team Tyrian

The britisch team consists of Isobel Powell, an experienced rower from London, who has won several local and world University Championships as well as Charlottew Hodgkins. She has competed in international level events. In 2021, she won a European silver medal in the quadruple sculls in Varese, Italy.
Joshua Kent is a rower who competes internationally for Great Britain. His last result is the 9th place for the men’s cm4x+ in the World Rowing Coastal Championships 2019.
Ian Middeltom. In 2014 and further years he was selected as the cox for the Cambridge light blue boat at the world renowned Boat Race.  In addition to representing Cambridge he has coxed Great Britain’s under-23 men’s eight crew, steering them to sixth place at the 2014 World Rowing U23 Championships in Varese, Italy and a silver medal at the 2016 World Rowing U23 Championships.

Team “International” with high profile rowers

The crew “International” is led by Lars Wichert from Hamburg, GER. Wichert is an experienced coastal rower and multiple podium rower from Hamburg. Another rowing heavyweight is Frieda Hämmerling from Kiel, who is one of the top rowers in Germany. She was in the final of the Tokyo Olympics.
The second woman in the team is Lisa Scheernaard from Holland. Lisa won bronze in a double scull in Tokyo and the silver medal at the European Championships in 2021. Like Lars, she has another passion, cycling.

Second challenge

2019 winner and Top Rower Michael Schmid from Switzerlandis there too. Michael has been rowing internationally since 2004 and, like Lars, is well known in the rowing community. In 2017 Schmid competed in the lightweight single at the European Championships and took fourth place at the World Championships. In 2018 he successfully defended his title at the European Championships. At the world championships he won silver.
