We are happy to report that the 2022 European Rowing Coastal & Beach Sprint Championships have been confirmed after extensive discussions with the Spanish public health authorities, the European Rowing Board, Spanish Rowing Federation and the organising committee.
2022 European Rowing Coastal & Beach Sprint Championships confirmed
World Rowing reported on Friday that the event will take place from the 27th to the 30th of October after all involved parties discussed the current COVID-19 situation in Europe. Let’s have a look at the most important information from World Rowing:
“In line with European Rowing guidance and guidance from the local public health authorities, the OC will prepare a detailed COVID-19 Response Plan which will be published online at https://europeanrowingcoastals2022.com/ no later than 29 September 2022. The response plan will outline all preventative measures to be undertaken and all testing requirements upon arrival and during the event. European Rowing and the OC are confident that the measures planned to be in place are appropriate to minimise the risk of transmission and infection at the event.
Each Member Federation is responsible to exercise maximum care for its team members before, during and after the event. All participants must follow the measures in the OC COVID-19 Response Plan at all times, including the latest requirements on mask wearing, social distancing and other measures published by the OC. More details will be published soon.
To protect the health of all participants, anyone not adhering to the participation conditions may, at the discretion of the European Rowing Board, face sanctions including possible immediate disqualification and exclusion from the event.
European Rowing and the San Sebastian OC continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and the latest public health recommendations. Any further updates will be communicated to the Member Federations directly.”
